My voice wont come back!?

I lost my voice on christmas day 21 days ago...along with some sort of congestion and bad cough with the green mucus... I never went to the doctor but it all cleared up. What is happening now is semi hoarse voice(It was getting better but has not really improved in the last 3 or 4 days) and a tickle in my throat when I talk that makes me cough...and every morning a little phlegm. Should I just keep waiting it out? I should mention that before this I literally had not been sick in 5 years... not a thing so i was thinking my body was having trouble fighting all this off....Any Doctors out there?..Thanks!
