Solving the problem algebra?

Divide by 3. Then square both sides. Now you have 5-2x-7=(plus or minus 4/9). now subtract the 5 and 7, giving 2x-2=( plus or minus 4/9). Then add two giving 2x=(plus or minus 22/9). Then divide by 2 giving x=(plus or minus 11/9). Since plugging the positive answer back into the original equation gives an imaginary answer, the real answer is (-11/9).
