I got pricked by a barrel cactus....and it hurts...HELP!!?

Ok so today at work I got pricked by a barrel cactus. It sort of looks like it's got pointy zip ties. On one of the stings it is really swollen and hurts if I touch it....it seems like the pain is getting worse, but not unbearable. I did bleed a lot. Im not sure what it is, or if it's just irritated. It is located on my left hand wrist [palm down, located on left side]. Does anyone know what it can be?? It doesn't seem like the splinter is in there,but I could be wrong....It almost looks like a vampire bite.
