I have a 1990 honda civic hatchback and i got some spark plugs and oil and a oil filter from walmart and i?

check referenced da part numbers so a couple of days after that i noticed that something didnt feel right... then i noticed that it started smokin jus a lil bit but it was white smoke, but itd stop... so last nite after mardi gras i had 3 people wit me 1 in da p. and da other 2 in da back... my car started runnin hot and blowing out alot of white smoke... i have a thermostat that is "suppose" to stay open in case of overheating but it failed to do so... i made it to a friend of da families house and pulled da thermostat out, then cranked it filled da radiator with water and coolant tank... let it run for a couple of minutes and it wasnt smokin... but when i drove home it was as if i had da thermostat in then i stopped at mcdonalds to grab some food real quick (no traffic really) and then it started warmin up again and when i got my food and took off i smoked da parking lot out damn near.... any body have an idea??? please help asap!!
